On the hunt for something fun to do over February school break? We can BEARly contain our excitement in telling you, you’re invited to the Teddy Bear Tea Party at Quicks Hole Tavern!

We’ll be serving tasty lunch treats on our special tea party platters from 11:30AM – 3:00PM, February 18th – 26th.

We’ve put together a menu that’s juuuuust right for your little ones… They’ll get a choice of crustless, open faced sandwiches like …

• Banana and Nutella
• Herbed Cream Cheese and Cucumber
• Peanut Butter and Strawberry Jam
• Ham and Cheddar Cheese

Also included are a couple of apple stuffed, house made doughnuts paired with a chocolate dipping sauce… YUM! And after lunch, every table gets a free finger puppet or stuffed toy to bring home!

Make a kid friendly day out of the Teddy Bear Tea Party in Woods Hole!

Start at the Woods Hole Science Aquarium (closed Mondays), where you will watch the seal feeding (11:00 AM & 4:00 PM on most days) and take a tour inside.  Free! The aquarium includes 140 species of marine animals found in our surrounding waters. There are all sorts of crustaceans, fish and even a fun touch tank.  Your budding scientist will come alive in this free exhibit.

Eel Pond

Take a stroll down MBL St. past all of Woods Hole’s fancy science labs (your child’s future office?) and check out the cool sculptures and great views of Eel Pond along the way.

Wander across Water Street to Waterfront Park for a unique view of the ferry as it makes it’s way to Martha’s Vineyard.  Check out the new statue of Rachel Carson, writer and scientist who inspired generations of environmentalists and female scientists.

Walk across the famous Woods Hole drawbridge on Water Street (don’t miss views of the Eel Pond boats there too) to Luscombe Ave to find your way back to the Quicks Hole Tavern, a warm and inviting place to hang out and get a sweet bite to eat after the excitement of your visit to Woods Hole.

We hope to see you exploring Woods Hole and joining us at the tea party at Quicks Hole Tavern over your vacation school break!

“If you go down to Woods Hole today
You’re sure of a big surprise.
If you go down to Woods Hole today
You’d better go in disguise!
For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain,
Because today’s the day the
Teddy Bears have their Tea Party!”

There is plenty of metered parking in Woods Hole at this time of year.  Look along Water Street, Luscombe or Railroad Avenues.
